How can I change the Dropbox Account on MacBook Air?
Hi Team - I recently updated to a new MacBook and copied my existing profile across from my old MacBook in order to simplify things. The old MacBook contained several Apple accounts, each with its own (unlinked) Dropbox account. Although I only installed one Apple account on the new MacBook, the wrong Dropbox account (and its files!!) has appeared under that Apple account. Lucky it's only my partner's account and files! I've tried to uninstall, remove, then reinstall Dropbox from the new MacBook a number of times, however each time I reinstall Dropbox, it wants to open the wrong account. How can I permanently disassociate that Dropbox account from my MacBook, so I can then start again and link it to the right Dropbox account? Thanks heaps!
Hi all, we've brought this to our team and wanted to follow up.
While we've presented a workaround: either by turning off the "preserve file modification timestamps" setting in the application or naming the file with a ".tc" or ".hc" extension, we want to be transparent about our current priorities and unfortunately, this means that we won't be able to delve deeply into this in the near future.
We're still tracking these reports, and will make sure to inform you right away of any changes.
Thanks for understanding .

You need to unlink your account off the computer first, then delete the files and finally reinstall.

Thanks. I'll give that a go...
