There is another way to confirm my id and have again access to my drop account??
If you have another active device already linked to your account you may be able to gain access to your Dropbox. If not, then you'll need access to the email address associated with the account.

Hi,
I made the stupid mistake and created a Dropbox account with the wrong email a couple of months ago. I forgot the G in gmail, can you believe it? I also purchased the 2TB storage and added my files without realising the initial error with the email address. Now I have to return my computer to my previous job (on which I am logged in on the Dropbox account), and wanted to log in to my Dropbox on my new computer.
The thing is, I have forgotten my password as well. I can't reset it as that would mean I would need login to the "@mail.com"-mail, which I don't.
So now I'm not really sure what to do. I don't remember the password so I can't update the email, and I can't reset my password because I don't have access to the wrong email.
Any suggestions? Please.

You need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support. However, they may not be able to help as without email access you cannot prove ownership. Make sure you do so while not logged in (including here) so often an incognito window works best.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for your input!
I didn't quite understand what you meant with "Make sure you do so while not logged in (including here) so often an incognito window works best." Could you please explain this? Thanks

If you are logged in, at all, to the Dropbox services, it will detect your plan. So if you are a free user it wont let you log a ticket.
If you are a paid user, and logged in as a paid user, you'll get the options to contact support 🙂
