I cannot receive 6 digit code to my inbox; I am sure I typed my email correctly I checked my spam folder I added no-reply@dropbox.com as safe contact I contacted support@dropbox.com- recieved a reply: "Replies to this email are routed to an unmonitored inbox and will not be answered by our support team." My spouse tried with his email and it worked I want him to try with mine to ensure I'm not missing a step. I am desperately looking a solution to access my acount.21Views0likes3CommentsNo code is sent to my email address, so I can't access my Dropbox account.
I have a dropbox account that I created to send videos and photos i have taken in concerts and trips, that I never ever ever want to lose. I was trying to log in to that account, but it says I need to get the access code that was sent to my email. I have not gotten the code. I tried clicking on the 'having issues getting access code' and it also did not help. I added no-reply@dropbox.comas a contact on my email account, and still nothing. I sent an email to support, and it also did not help me. This is my last resort. Please help me!! This is my ticket number: 2450520123Views0likes1CommentI didn't get an "Out of space" email even though my notifications are on.
It has been set, but I didn't get an email about I'm running out of space, when it happened yesterday. I don't know why. I have checked my Gmail and nothing is in the Spam or Trash folder. There is no filter set for Dropbox emails.20Views0likes2CommentsI can no longer use the Dropbox for Outlook integration.
I have installed the dropbox plugin form outlook and initially it was working fabulously. Now when i try to save an attachment to dropbox from outlook it keeps asking me to sign in then get a blank box. I cannot see any addin installed for dropbox or find anyway of doing this. This is very frustrating as it was a fabulous option to have and made the saving of attachments so easy but now it is very frustrating. I have tried re adding the plug in and done a repair on outlook but still does not work. The outlook is part of Office 365. Any suggestions??Solved1.8KViews0likes13CommentsI verified my email address, but it still appears to be unverified.
I get the verification email, click the link to verify my email, and it opens up a new dropbox window in Chrome, but the account email is still not verified after multiple attempts. It's a basic account so I can't talk to support. Any suggestions?26Views0likes4CommentsI'm trying to enter my account, but I'm asked for a code sent to an inaccessible email address.
I've got an account [removed per Community Guidelines] with lots of information in it. I've had this account for more than ten years. I recently lost access to this email account. I know the password. I have a new computer. When I attempt to log into the account, I am told that a message has been sent to the inaccessible email account with an access number I will need to log in. So, I can't log in because I can't get the number. I've tried the alternate form that allows you to enter other information to bypass the code, but it never accepts what I've entered. In 2021, I purchased a Dropbox plus account [removed per Community Guidelines] to increase my account storage. The two accounts appeared to have melded into one and I continued to add content. Now, all that appears in that account are two folders that were shared by others to the new account. I welcome any solutions or suggestions. I desperately need access to those data. When trying to attach a Dropbox file using the Outlook mobile app, a screen says "No files found." I used to be able to create an email and then attach the Dropbox file using the Outlook app, but now this is not working. It's possible from the Dropbox app side, but not from Outlook. Any idea why this is happening? I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Dropbox and removing/adding my Dropbox profile for Outlook, but this persists.25Views0likes2CommentsGenerate a unique email address for "Email to Dropbox" based on usernames.
For Emailing to Dropbox, they use a 5 random-word list model... so something like: ecology.tastey.pillow.depth.example @addtodropbox.com There is a big problem with this... both for Dropbox and their users. It's a nightmare to use. Try telling a client that URL. Result: NONE USE. They should use a user generated model with tight guidelines. so Something like: DigitalMarketing1000@ or RickStark100@ Easy to Pick a winner - easy for the user to use. THAT is what we want. There is easily a million easy options for both users above. So why do they do it? This model is easy for the IT department - the computer geeks decided... not the marketing dept. / user advocates. If DB is looking for EASE OF USE for their CUSTOMERS... then go to the trouble of user created addresses. Their current model is EASY FOR THEM... but poo for the user. Let me ask you: Do these super-duper-really-long-multi-word-URLS-seem-very-usable-to-you dot question? Do they seem like they would be popular to users to you? If your answer is NO - then THAT is why adoption is low for emailing to dropbox and I and millions of others don't use it. Switch to a tougher (user-generated address), but better for the consumer, model. Go for usable... which is above functional. Thoughts? Support? I'm trying to share a folder through a link. It wants me to verify my email address. I've verified my email by clicking the link it sends me about 10 times now, but it still doesn't register as verified, even under my account settings. I'm unable to chat with support because I don't have access to it.26Views2likes3CommentsI keep receiving emails about being over-quota, but there aren't any files on my account.
I receive emails from Dropbox telling me my Basic account has reached its limit; however, when I log into my account there are no files there. I have searched in all folders, there is nothing there. I have also tried to locate these files using my laptop account and there is nothing there. I cannot respond to their emails because it's from an unmonitored mailbox. I cannot call Dropbox because I have the free edition, and their free customers aren't treated with the same care as their paying customers. How can I resolve this if I cannot speak to a live person about it? I'm tempted to reach out to our state's attorney general to file a complaint. This is just bad, bad business.16Views0likes1Comment
