I have been using the Dropbox free account for several years now. However, I am currently no longer able to log in to the site because the login puzzle is not working. This cost me a total of 30 minutes of my time. With the best will in the world, I can't afford this waste of time. I will therefore refrain from using Dropbox in the future if no solution is found.18Views0likes1CommentAlmost impossible to login due to "games" captcha
Hi everyone! I have a problem I hope you can help me resolve. I use my Dropbox free acount to move files from my phone to the office computer. They are personal things, so I can't install the app or login out of a private browser session. I have two-factors autentication active. Dropbox makes me lose a lot of time in stupid games before login to prove I'm human. I'm not talking about reCAPTCHA here, but real games where you move people to the right chair and other crap like that. How can I avoid this? It's ridicolous, if I wanted to play I will have open an account to a game site, not to personal cloudspace.80Views1like9CommentsI need help signing in to my account
I have a personal Dropbox account, I am ok with it. However, I have become secretary of a non-profit organization, and I need to get access to the Board of Directors Dropbox account. When I try to sign in to DB, it signs me into my personal account, and won't let me sign in to the Group Dropbox. How can I signin to the group account? thanks [Removed as per Community Guidelines]17Views0likes1CommentAccess to "overfilled" Dropbox
I have been using the free version of Dropbox and the automatic backups I had set overfilled it. Now I can't get into Dropbox to remove files or change what backups are made. If I click on Dropbox, it only shows a pdf file (not mine) and nothing else. In the bottom left corner of the screen is a message in pink showing that I have exceeded the storage limit. However, there is no option for actually accessing my files for deletion or changing anything in my account. A young man on Dropbox's help chat got me to a point where I could see the files, but I was unable to delete or download any of them. Very frustrating.Error 500, when deleting account
I can't delete my account. When I do try to delete my account, I get a error 500 message. I am on a free account that was downgraded from one of the previous business plans that are no longer offered. The chatbot is useless, and a free account doesn't get access to any support. How can I get my account deleted when your system is broken?39Views0likes8CommentsCannot sign-in to the desktop app. It redirects me and throws an errors in the browser console.
For a few weeks now, I've been struggling to sign in my desktop app. When I click on sign-in in the tray icon, I'm redirected to an SSO webpage and it shows but a blank: In browser's console I see a javascript an error: alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3 Uncaught TypeError: Failed to construct 'URL': Invalid URL at alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:16002 at l (alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:16220) at _ (alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:20947) at cli_link_nonce?nonce=958b4fc46421a89ae23d169ed9ed99a7:14:206 at cli_link_nonce?nonce=958b4fc46421a89ae23d169ed9ed99a7:14:453 at Array.forEach (<anonymous>) at e.InitRequireJs (cli_link_nonce?nonce=958b4fc46421a89ae23d169ed9ed99a7:14:441) at alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:23616 at alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:23736 at alameda_bundle_chrome_en-vfla2zdxx.js:3:23740 Any ideas what's wrong / how to fix it? I have a new computer and a new phone. When I log in to Dropbox, I don't see most of my files. It is possible that I have 2 accounts, but am unable to log into the other email because it's not active anymore. I need access to my files. Please help.13Views0likes1CommentFix desktop app checking the web login, when you try to sign into the account locally.
I just had an extremely frustrating experience. I needed to log my wife out of the desktop app and log myself in. I logged her out. It then presented me with a login button. I pressed it, but instead of presenting me with a login form, it just logged my wife back in again! Over and over again. It turns out that because my wife was logged into THE DROPBOX WEBSITE, the desktop app automatically logged her in as well – but with no useful information given to me, the user, to understand what the hell it was doing. Finally, the support person advised me to log her out of the website before attempting to log her out of the desktop app again. It finally worked. It took 1.5 hours for my chat support person and I to figure this out. Please fix this. At the very least, please have the desktop just SAY "User X is already logged into the dropbox.com website. Logging them into the Desktop app now." Thanks for considering this.25Views0likes1CommentThe account appears to have been deleted without a warning.
Hello, I hope someone can help. I have had a dropbox account going back many years, and have been using it to upload family photos (and camera uploads automatically from my phone). In October last year, I received an email saying my account had been downgraded as a payment for my plan hadn't gone through—but my inbox is a mess, so I only just saw it this evening. The email said it was downgraded but that my files hadn't been deleted. There was nothing about deletion. However, when I logged in tonight, it's like a brand new account... No files at all, no event/account activity. Has anyone had a similar situation? I'm so frightened that I've lost everything, as this was my backup. I don't know what I'll do if I can't recover my files. That's my wedding, my deceased family members, my whole life going back to 2012... Any assistance at all would be so appreciated. Thank you in advance!51Views1like14CommentsHow to turn off automatic log in on phone?
I need to be able to log into my dropbox account on someone else's phone, I think it's an android, using a chrome browser. It keeps automatically logging me into their account, even when I try to cancel it, it goes thru, I see no way of turning off this auto log in feature anywhere. Can you help me?19Views0likes2Comments
