- dluptonmd2 years agoCollaborator | Level 9This is happening to me with the android word app. Whenever I create a file and save it to Dropbox, it opens as read only. I can create a file and save it to my phone documents without any problems. The file will open and allow me to edit. Thx for help.

Hi @dluptonmd, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you clarify the exact steps on how you create the Word file? Are you doing in first in the Word app, or are you using the Dropbox mobile app to create the Word file?
This will help me to assist further!
- dluptonmd2 years agoCollaborator | Level 9I use the word app to create the document. you can't create a document with Dropbox. you can only store them there and open them for editing into word.
