I can no longer open my Microsoft files via my Android mobile app. They throw all sorts of errors.
Please help, I am in a HUGE panic. As of this morning, my Android Microsoft mobile apps no longer open my more than 1000 Dropbox files. I cannot save a newly created Microsoft file to Dropbox either. I have always been able to open and save my Dropbox files in the Android Microsoft apps (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel , etc) on my Pixel 8. I can no longer open files. Here's the message I get when I try to open a Dropbox file from within Microsoft Word: "Can't open file. [file name] is stored in an unsupported server location." If I try to open a file from within Dropbox, I get an error message that reads, "Can't complete task. Something went wrong. Please try again." I was initially able to open files within M365 Copilot, but I just started receiving the same message and I can't view any of my files. When I tried to connect a different Dropbox account, I received a message that said, "Access blocked: dropbox's request does not comply with Google's policies." Please note that the apps are all updated. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the apps in addition to restarting my phone. Furthermore, my Pixel device is properly linked to my Dropbox account PLEASE HELP!!
I changed my user name after installing the Dropbox app and now it won't launch
I have a new laptop (MacBook Air - M4), running the latest Sequoia. I migrated everything over from my former system, which included Dropbox. Day-1, all was running fine. Day-2, I needed to change the names of the System Users. I followed the instructions from Apple, which includes changing the home folder name in "Users" and then the corresponding account name field(s) in System Settings, Users & Groups, The home folder path on Day-1, with the original name, was /Users/keri_1/ On Day-2 -- after the renaming -- the new (& current) home folder path is /Users/keri/ Now when I launch DropBox, it is looking for this path to grant permissions: /Users/keri_1/.dropbox and immediately gives the message that "Dropbox needs to change permissions for the Folder: /Users/keri_1/.dropbox" which it cannot find since that path name no longer exists. Clicking OK, the next message I get is "Couldn't start Dropbox" and it shuts down. How do I get DropBox to correct the path it is trying to use? I have contacted Support and we have exchanged several emails, including some Terminal commands to run, which did not correct this issue.
"Dropbox Unexpectedly Quit" error on two Windows 11 computers
The Windows 11 Dropbox app updated on Wednesday and now repeatedly crashes. Software version 219.45.4463. The problem is present on two W11 devices, both received the Dropbox update. Dropbox and Windows 11 has been reinstalled on one device. Both are company managed and had no issues with Dropbox prior to this update. Error message: Dropbox Unexpectedly Quit Your files are safe. Restart Dropbox to resume sync and other features. I have gone through Event Viewer but don't see any crash logs related to Dropbox.

I keep getting a message starting with " Untitled (macbookPro's conflicted cope 2025-02-09". etc, it repeats over and over and over and I cant get rid of this, as I dont understand why it's happening, can anyone advice me?

Hello! Let me say right away that English is not my native language - sorry. Recently (possibly coinciding with the replacement of the motherboard and processor with new, but identical one to one) - the Dropbox icon became gray and "Connecting..." Windows 10 Pro (22H2, OS Build 19045.2604) Dropbox desktop app (version 220.4.4126) is giving me the "Reconnecting to the internet, this may take a moment" error message, but if you go to "View sync issues", there is a message "You have no sync issues". I will say right away that I have read many messages on the forum, on the Internet and have done all possible and even impossible checks and actions, for example: - deleting cookies and registry entries - completely uninstalling the program and reinstalling it - installing other (earlier) versions - no VPN, no antivirus, firewall disabled - ipconfig /flushdns, disable IPv6 and so on At the same time, the page https://www.dropbox.com/home opens smoothly in the browser and there are no problems with the Internet at all and never have been. Sorry to have to raise a similar issue again. As promised, I am continuing to recommend Dropbox to my students and their parents, and now sending the referrals via my Referrals page. Today I recommended Dropbox to one of my students, while he was here with his laptop, so I could see and make sure that everything was done right. He had never installed or used Dropbox before. He clicked on my referral link and successfully installed the App. He tried to verify his account, but received an error message, saying that ''Something went wrong." My Referrals page shows his status as "Ineligible." I would be grateful if you could track down what went wrong this time and let me know? I am happy to forward a capture of the emails and error message... Thank you.
How can I get my corrupted data back?
Dropbox has gone whaco. my files are weird, some missing some strangely corrupted. What has happened and how can I retrieve /extract my stuff? Had files for over a decade. Lenovo windows 10 support was failing so I bought a mac. Moved files to Dropbox. got notices of nearly full. stopped adding files. Can no longer open the Lenovo (says: missing operating system) Access from macbook now scrambled and weird. How can I get my data back? I',m devastated
