How to turn off notification "Because it's online-only it won't be moved to your Recycle bin"
Does someone know, how to turn off this annoying notification?
"Delete xxx.xxx? Because it's online-only it won't be moved to your Recycle bin"?

Hey there bigsky - how are you today?
I moved your post under this thread as your inquiry echoes the OP's query and to keep things neat around our Community.
I double checked this internally and when it comes to the Smart Sync notifications and the option to disable them, this not possible I'm afraid.
This specific type of notifications is a failsafe in order to save our users from un-necessary deletion/changes and cannot be disabled. As for your consequent inquiry, again this is not possible; to disable those notifications beforehand.
At this point, I'd like to thank you for your feedback - I will log this with the team as a feature request.I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but I hope it helps to some extent. Please let me know if you have anything to add or ask; I'll be happy to follow up!

So, those of us who know the basics of using a computer are doomed to suffer this obnoxious, incessant, and unnecessary message because of a misguided need to idiot-proof dropbox?

I hate this repeated warning message and don't understand why Dropbox wants me to see this warning every time.
One way to suppress this warning is to use the 'shift delete' method. If you hold down the shift key and press the delete button or drag files to your Recycle Bin, the selected files will be deleted without the warning message. You WILL be able to recover the deleted files on the Dropbox.com website as usual.
Hope this helps.

Hi again, jungwindy! Thanks for clarifying that. Having spent most of my life on Windows machines, Mac tips, tricks and shortcuts are definitely not my strong point! But like you say, there may well be a similar workaround for Mac and hopefully someone will post it here if they discover it.
I'm always intrigued by people finding little workarounds like this, and was wondering if you have discovered anything else that helps make your work on Dropbox a little easier that you would like to share? Could be related to anything at all, not necessarily what's being discussed in this thread.
Thanks again, and have a great Friday!

Hi jungwindy,
Thanks for visiting the Dropbox Community! I hope you are well. I'm glad to see you found a workaround for this. Hopefully, some of the other Community members commenting above will be able to use it to make their experience a little bit better, too. We really appreciate your contribution here, keep up the good work!
Thanks again, and have a great day!
