Mac crashes after update Dropbox
Since updating Dropbox my Mac crashes, won't do anything.
Deleting the Dropbox app helps, the Mac won't crash,
but I need Dropbox in mij Finder to work.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
The latest Dropbox update completely crashed my Mac Studio . . . I had to do a complete Erase of the computer.

Hi, I'm having the same issue.
I've also posted a message on this board,
hopefully it will be resolved soon.
Will give you an update if anything improves.

Hi Sandy_D, let's jump right into this!
Just to make sure that the software is working correctly, can you let me know the exact version of the Dropbox desktop app installed on your computer as shown in your menu bar?
When you say that your Mac crashes, can you let me know more as to what happens? Is Dropbox working properly when you try to open it?
Any additional information is more than welcome, Sandy!

It started with the icon on the right top corner of my screen, under Dropbox with the notification to update on Friday night.
Saturday morning my Mac (Ventura 13.3.1 (a)) was black.
It wouldn't start
after 100 times of rebooting, there was some movement, but all my applications lingered,
so it took me af few hours (!!!) of rebooting to close all the applications and my Mac would start, but still slow
Then I deleted Dropbox and tried to reinstall it, with the link from my online Dropbox:
https://www.dropbox.com/install > Same problem...
So I deleted in again.
Tried to fix it with an older version:
https://dropbox.en.uptodown.com/mac/versions
But now the problem remains as it is.
I've downloaded the version of March '23
It said it was indexing...
Came to app. 60.000 files
left the house
and same problem: Nothing is happening with Dropbox (it's says it's indexing, but doesn't say the amount of files anymore
and other applications and internet go reaaaaallly slow
So I've deleted that version as well.
I think the last update broke something in my computer

Oh, I forgot to mention: After I delete Dropbox (the app) from my Mac, everything works as it should,
but then I don't have Dropbox in my Finder.
And I really need Dropbox in my Finder.
Preferably today 😞

- Sandy_DHelpful | Level 5Yes, that was my final solution as well. Took me two weeks to finally empty the whole Mac and start back from zero
