"Dropbox is ending support for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1" message but I'm on a Windows 10 PC.
I get an error message on the screen when starting my PC: Dropbox is ending support for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. Then I get a message telling me to quit Dropbox. Why do I get this when I have Windows 10...

I hope it's okay for me to jump in here, Energirad.
May I ask, is it possible that when you first installed Dropbox on this computer, it was on any of the soon-to-be unsupported Windows OS versions?
Also, have you tried uninstalling the Dropbox app, restarting your computer and then reinstalling it?

I'm having the same problem. I too have windows 10 Home version. Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and get the same message as above. Where can I find the full version of Dropbox?

Hey cmussells1, let's jump right into this!
The issue you're experiencing may be related to Windows compatibility settings established for the Dropbox application. To check if you have compatibility settings for the Dropbox application, please follow these instructions:
-Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer)
-Navigate to the "Program Files (x86)" folder (or just "Program Files" if you don't see the '(x86)') located in your C: drive
-Browse to the folder Dropbox > Client
-Locate the Dropbox.exe file, right-click this program icon and click on "Properties"
-Click the "Compatibility" tab.
If you see that the option for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" is checked and there's a different operating system version selected in the drop-down menu, this is the reason why you see this discrepancy. Please try this, and let me know of the results!
