Clicking on dropbox system tray icon does nothing.
I have windows 11 and some time within the last month or two I am unable to get the system tray icon to do anything. If I hover my mouse over the icon it shows the version and that I'm "up to date". If I left click, right click, double click, ctrl + left click, ctrl + right click, nothing at all happens. I do get the little red circle with a number in it so I know there is notifications coming in. In the past I used to click on the icon and a menu would appear that I could acknowledge notifications. I can no longer do that and have to go online and do it in the web page. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still does not work.
My Win11 updated last night. The package name is:
Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22623.1020) (KB5020035)
The left or right click can show the dropbox main window right now, but it's not attached to the system tray. It pops up on the top left corner. ≡(▔﹏▔)≡
Whatever, it works at least. ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Hi gostnort, welcome t o our Community!
Have you also tried rebooting your device? If I were you, I'd also try an advanced re-install.
Let me know of the results!

The tutorial doesn't mention how to close the App without system tray responding. I turn it off in the Task Manager.
Items in the register and folders that are mentioned in the article do not exist, after uninstalling, but I found a folder in the location.
After uninstalling, I reboot my PC indeed.
Everything is deleted. Re-install. Nothing changed. The problem is still. 😅
BTW, I just want to close Dropbox easier than task manager, when I have thousands of files come and forth.
