I don't see all my files on www.dropbox.com and I'm running out of hard drive space.

I spent nearly 2 hours with customer support and they said they needed to escalate my case to someone else. The someone else sent me a link to the general Dropbox information to read through volumes of documents to figure it out myself. My hard drive is nearly full and when I go to delete files on my computer, I am being prompted to say the files will also be deleted from Dropbox. What the??? Can anyone help me? I am at wits end. Also, when I click on the shortcut on my homepage, I can see all of my files. When I go to Dropbox.com, none of them are there. I am missing something here...help!!

    Hi caryldillon,

Thanks for contacting us. I can see you're really frustrated with this issue right now.

To start, make sure you’re logged into the right account.

Are you seeing the required files in your account?

Also, would it be ok for us to reach out to you on the email attached to this account?

caryldillon, if you delete files from the local Dropbox folder on your computer, these files will also be removed from your Dropbox account online, which is why you’re getting this message (this is what I understand at least from what you’ve described).

Also, do you mean that you’ve added files recently to your desktop app and you can’t see them on www.dropbox.com? Can you clarify the current syncing status of your Dropbox app?

Let me know more details and we’ll go from there.
