Dropbox wrongly says my Basic account is over the quota limit.
My Basic Account DID exceed the 2GB limit.
I promptly reduced contents to 477 MB. There are NO BACKUPS taking up space.
I am STILL getting reminders that my Account is full.
I have screenshots to illustrate everything.
All this is immensely frustrating and time-consuming.
Please what can I do? Whom can I email in Dropbox to explain everything?

How long ago did you remove the space? If you are on a Teams account it can take a few hours.
If not can you show what you see on the Backups page and also www.dropbox.com/plans

Thanks so much, Mark, for speedy response.
I removed a considerable amount of data on around 18 July '24!
As I've said, I have screenshots which show my 'Home' page in Dropbox weirdly suggesting it's full whilst my Subscription page in Dropbox confirms my 477MB new, much-reduced, total.

Can you post screenshots?
What about www.dropbox.com/backups ?
Also are you in any Shares? They stop syncing as soon as its over quota SO if somebody added a load of data to one of them it wouldnt sync to your account if it took you over the say 2gb but WOULD use up quota and stop syncing.

Hi, exactly the same problem here. I have been using Dropbox since 2018, and always was a happy customer. Now I hardly use 750 MB, and still, Dropbox is stalking me with messages saying my account is full, and will not synchronise anymore. HELP !
It says : 733 MB normal files and 1.3 GB shared files. But I don't share with anyone else.
