Very Slow to Upload and then freezes

I have been trying to upload a folder of photos and I find Dropbox very slow to upload and this time, it got stuck on one file and does not seem to progress. I have a macbook pro Sierra 10.12.  Not...

    Thanks for the additional screenshots, LH4! They definitely provide a clearer understanding of what you’re seeing; I’ve gone ahead and removed elements of them for security and privacy purposes. 
     
    Moving on to your concern though, it does seem like a large upload. Please bear in mind that files or folders that you upload through the website must be 50 GB or smaller.
     
    In this case then, I’d kindly recommend trying to upload through the website in smaller batches, or try uploading them through the desktop or mobile apps, which don’t have a file size limit.

I was using Chrome as a browser, I must say I never heard of Incognito. Are there any other browsers you would recommend that I may already have such as Safari ? 

I might have explained my upload method incorrectly : I use the Dropbox icon on my bookmarks menu then dragged files onto the main files page as shown on screenshots below.
