Phone / tablet backups to Dropbox.

Similar to pc back ups. Hope mobile phones and tablets can be also backed up to the dropbox account.

Hi Thinkrgrl, let's jump right into this!

You mentioned you'd like to see a feature, that would allow you to backup your mobile to Dropbox.

Just to clarify, do you mean the entire mobile apps, contact etc, or are you referring to pictures that already exist on your mobile's camera roll?

    Let me know more!

Hi, it would be everything. Not just the photos as that's being.done already. But be able to back up my whole mobile android phone and restore if something goes wrong with my phone.

Just like how the laptop back ups are done.
Or there can also be an option on which files you can back up.

To add yes also include apps and settings.

I’ll vote for this if it allows the creation of a backup of EVERYTHING on my iPhone (as well as any other phones/tablets/etc) into a separate folder for each within the VAULT (if one chooses to) or a separate section for various backups that is functional, accessible, and not just a single file that only works on the same type of device and/or a computer (since many of us don’t own a computer), across ALL devices.

I can already do this on my android device because it allows backup to Google Drive but it’s just ONE file that is a “Backup File” and therefore individual files/media/etc cannot be accessed on my iPhone, or another android device. It also overwrites it every time it backs up again making the creation of multiple backups from different dates impossible, and it is basically just a reinstall-type file instead of an actual full device backup with its own file system in which individual files can be accessed.

This can be done even by backing up as a zipped file that can be extracted within the Dropbox app folder so that those individual files/apk’s/media, including those files/media/documents WITHIN apps that are not backed up to iCloud, can be searched through and kept safe even if you lose or have to replace your device or if you need to access those files on a different device.

Let me know so I can understand the details of what you’re asking for this feature to include.
