When infected with a virus
Hello, I'm a MacBook user.
Sorry, I need your help.
I'm a MacBook user.
I had a suspicion of a virus infection.
It may have been an hour or so between the time of the possible infection and the network shutdown.
During that time, my dropbox was online.
After that, I initialized my Mac, just to be safe.
After the initialization, I'm wondering if I should connect my Mac to Dropbox again.
I'm also worried about the virus spreading to other members who were sharing folders in the dropbox.
I would like to know about the possibility of virus infection to the dropbox folder and the possibility of virus spread to other folders.
Hi Yuki-sit
If your files are local to your machine and your machine is infected its very likely that its in Dropbox. Before reconnecting etc. you need to make sure your device is clean and has no viruses/malware.

I scanned my computer and all of my dropbox shared folders with Windows Defender and Kapelsky software.
No problems were found.
Thank you very much.
