Version history: more than one a day?
Hi, I have a Dropbox Plus account with no add ons. I've used version history in the past and we were able to access on any given days, several different versions of the file. I now tried to look at the version history of a file, and it seems that only 1 version is saved every day. Has that changed or is there still a way to see several versions of a given file within the same day? Thank you. S
It saves multiple versions (every one that uploads), but, only if it uploads - and often it cannot if another file has it open.
You should see the files at www.dropbox.com/events as an upload AND then also at Version History

Thank you very much Mark. That sucks. Dropbox used to save several versions a day, whether the file is being used or not. That was one of my favorite features so now that it's gone, I am probably going to inch closer to not renewing my subscription.

What exactly is gone? The version history feature hasn't changed. Any save to a file that successfully syncs to your account will have an entry in the version history.
The screenshot below shows the version history for one of my files (file name partially masked) over just the last two hours, and you can see there were eight entries.
What Mark is saying is that as long as the file is able to sync, Dropbox will update its version history when the sync completes. If the file is locked and Dropbox can't access it, it won't be able to sync and won't create a version history entry until Dropbox is able to sync the file.
