Dropbox Scan > No OCR
Hello, I'm a Dropbox Plus customer and all documents (primarily receipts) I scan with the Dropbox Scanner as a PDF are saved but not searchable.
Very frustrating as this would be such a great benefit to have.

Hi Tim A, and thanks for posting on our forum!
Can you let me know what you’re searching for exactly, so that we can look into this? For example, are you unable to locate your receipts based on their filename or are you searching for a specific word within the file and no result returns?
In case you’re trying to use full-text search for your receipts, please take the time to check this Help Center article as well, since it contains more details on what’s supported and what’s not.
Keep me posted for more updates.

I am having the same problem. I have deleted the app on my iphone, and reinstalled but it is still not searchable. These are receipts scanned as PDFs. I am looking for ANY searchable text. I can't find anything.

They have confirmed you have to pay the full amount of £20 to search for words on your own documents having scanned them in using their app. NOT IMPRESSED !!!!! time to move on
- AFFHelpful | Level 5They advertise that OCR is now included with the DB plus plan and no customer support has been able to troubleshoot the answer to the problem.
