What is the best way to download 50,000 images from my Camera Uploads folder?
Hi,
I am slowly downloading the contents of my Dropbox (approx 600GB) to an SSD drive from the website. I do not have the folders synced to my computer as they'd fill it. The last job I have to do is to download the contents of my Camera Uploads folder. I can't find a way to see exactly how many photos/images there are, but I estimate 50k+ based on what I've transferred from my phone over the years. I've attempted and given up on this task a few times. It seems the 'easiest' way to do it is to move the photos into new folders in chunks – seems 1000 at a time is the maximum. I can't see a way to keep track of what's been downloaded without separating them into folders like this first. Factoring time to then download to my computer, unzip the file and then upload to the SSD this is going to take a very long time.
Does anyone have any suggestions for any better and/or easier ways to achieve such a large transfer of images?
Thanks very much,
Emma

Hey DollFingers, thanks for posting here!
The process that you described is how I'd also do it on my end, if I'm being honest.
Keep in mind that you can only download a folder if it’s less than 250 GB (uncompressed) and has fewer than 10,000 total files.
Instead of creating individual folders you could try downloading specific files at a time, (let's say 1K files) but I'm guessing having the content into folders is indeed more convenient.
In any case, this thread will remain open, and our Community users are more than welcome to leave a comment, and suggestions on how you could go on about this.
Have a great week ahead!
