How can I download a video from Dropbox and then upload it to YouTube?
How do I download a video from dropbox onto my desktop to upload to Youtube?
- 7 years ago
Ok, this is the last way I can think to download a file:
1) Click on the "Share" button, then select "Create a link"
2) Then click "Copy link."
3) Now you will have something like
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1abcdefghijklmn/YOUR-FILE?dl=0
copied to your clipboard. Paste it into your web browser and change the last
...dl=0
to
...dl=1
then go to the web page. It should present you with a download screen.

I just checked back to see if you had left a response, and saw you did. I tried your last method and it worked like a charm, except as soon as I changed the 0 to a 1 and hit enter it just downloaded the video automatically to my downloads...Thanks so much for all your great help! I was at a dead end, but now moving forward! Very happy!

Where is the share button? Within the video?
- Lusil6 years agoDropbox Staff
Hey there therootofit,
If this is a shared link or an individual shared file, then you won't see a Share button.
If this is a file in a shared folder though, you should be able to see it.
If I've misunderstood your concern, please don't hesitate to get back to me. Thanks!
