As multiple other users have already reported over the last couple years, I am seeing many of these error events in my Windows 10 Event Viewer, all coming from the DbxSvc(Dropbox service) event source. Can you all please fix your desktop client software to stop spamming my event logs with these errors? This issue has dragged on far, far too long already. Hi Guys , Dropbox has been around for years now, I have been using One Drive Private Vault for many years - only reason I switched to Dropbox is because your Vault function is available on Mac Os - For the Love of God you have had so many users Ask you to create a option that allows the user to extend the timer before the vault just closes suddenly , while a user is still working a file! My Lord , all your developers need to do is create a popup banner saying " your vault is about to lock in 1 min ! you want to keep it open for another 5min, 10min or 20min or do you want to lock it right now!. This will most certainly keep many MS One Drive users from staying, What the heck is the issue and why haven't you given us this option yet . I just Spend $137 dollars on your Dropbox Plus version to be treated with the most frustrating feature - considering a refund !!!1 just get it done developers
Problem transfering dropbox to external SSD drive in Macbook Air
I wanted to move my dropbox folder from my Macbook Air hard drive to an external SSD drive. I signed out of the app, signed back in However, the new dropbox location was created, however it is not linked therefore I do not get all of the links, and sync with dropbox. and it seems that the old link is still there. And I am unable to find out where the directory is. What I want is for dropbox to be linked to the external SSD drive Here are the screen shots: On the following image A - is the new dropbox directory on the external drive that was created. files and folders here do not have the Dropbox Links (like link address, etc) B - is the old location. it says that it is unlinked to dropbox However as you will see in the last image, this directory DOES have the dropbox links. In the new location (A) there are no dropbox links This is B, the old content in the location I want to replace. It seems that the dropbox link is still linked here, and as you can see the Dropbox Links for syncing are here.
