Third Party Integrations
1236 TopicsI keep seeing conflicted copies for my audio files, after using a third-party software.
Hi! Recently I've been getting problems with duplicate files when I export audio files from my software directly into a Dropbox folder . One of them is labled "conflicted copy", (I think that's the english term, I've got dropbox in swedish where it says "konfliktkopia"). The one that has the original file name only is always incomplete, the end of the audio file is cut. I've read that "conflicted copy" is something that happens when multiple users are editing the same file. However, I'm the single user on the account and I'm pretty sure I haven't been hacked by someone who consistently exports my audio files the same minute I am. Something seems to happen when I export the files (and thus add them to Dropbox). Like Dropbox thinks it's a new file, while it's still being rendered, and therefore thinks it's a conflict? I've been using dropbox for years and never had this before. Any ideas on how to solve it? I'm using a mac with Ventura 13.6.4. I also have dropbox installed on an iPhone, if that might be causing this somehow.695Views0likes20CommentsHow can I seamlessly integrate Dropbox with my Shopify store?

Hi The problem I mentioned below has been quite common since the last Dropbox update and continues to cause problems. This problem occurs in 4 out of every 10 photos saved from all 10 PCs I use. It is important for us to find a solution to this problem. ADobe Photoshop Could not save as "..........." because the file is already in use or was left open by another application.22Views0likes1CommentIntegration Issue with Dropbox link placement
When trying to integrate a Dropbox-hosted file into my platform, I encountered an issue with generating and sharing the direct download link. While Dropbox provides a shareable URL, the default link redirects users to a preview page instead of triggering an automatic download. For seamless integration, I need a direct download link that eliminates extra steps for the user. Steps I followed: Uploaded the file to Dropbox successfully. Generated the shareable link (format: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uniqueid/filename?dl=0). Modified the link to ?dl=1 for direct download. However, when embedding the modified link into my platform, some users report errors like broken downloads or file inaccessibility. Is there a way to ensure consistent, reliable direct downloads for all users through Dropbox?16Views0likes1CommentOpen .pages files in Dropbox on iPad
Hi there I‘m moving away from Office 365 to Apple apps. When on my iPad, when I click on a Word file, I get the „open in“ button to open in Microsoft Word. When I click on a .pages file, I only get an „open“ button which, when clicked, opens the file in Dropbox with no editing options. What am I doing wrong? Thanks RomanSolved52Views0likes4CommentsCan't see "Show Dropbox as a save location in Microsoft Office"
I have installed Dropbox and Microsoft Office 365 on a new Windows 11 laptop. The option to 'Show Dropbox as a save location in Microsoft Office' is not shown in the Preferences - General settings box as it should be. I have a couple of older machines, Windows 10 and Windows 11, and the option is shown in those. Any suggestions as to a fix will be most welcome.38Views0likes5CommentsI can no longer use the Dropbox for Outlook integration.
I have installed the dropbox plugin form outlook and initially it was working fabulously. Now when i try to save an attachment to dropbox from outlook it keeps asking me to sign in then get a blank box. I cannot see any addin installed for dropbox or find anyway of doing this. This is very frustrating as it was a fabulous option to have and made the saving of attachments so easy but now it is very frustrating. I have tried re adding the plug in and done a repair on outlook but still does not work. The outlook is part of Office 365. Any suggestions??Solved1.8KViews0likes13CommentsAI-Powered Image Upscaling with GFAN and Hugging Face Models
I’d like to propose an exciting feature that could enhance Dropbox’s utility for managing and preserving visual media: integrating an AI-powered image upscaling tool using state-of-the-art models like GFAN and other high-quality options available on Hugging Face. Why This Feature is Valuable: Improved Image Quality: Many users store legacy photos and low-resolution images. This feature would allow users to enhance these images directly within Dropbox without requiring external tools. Convenience and Productivity: Built-in upscaling reduces the need to download, process, and re-upload images, saving time and effort. AI Integration: Leveraging GFAN and Hugging Face’s advanced models ensures exceptional upscaling quality while maintaining image authenticity. Proposed Features: One-Click Upscale: Add an option in the context menu to upscale selected images (e.g., "Enhance Image Quality"). Customizable Output: Allow users to select resolution goals (e.g., 2x, 4x) and control enhancements like noise reduction or color correction. Batch Processing: Include the ability to upscale multiple images or entire folders for bulk operations. Preview Functionality: Provide a side-by-side comparison of the original and enhanced image before confirming the upscale. Potential User Benefits: Preserve Memories: High-quality upscaling of old photos, screenshots, or scanned images for personal and professional use. Professional Appeal: Businesses and designers could use Dropbox for quick, high-quality image enhancements without relying on additional software. Competitive Edge: Dropbox would stand out as a storage service with unique value-added features. Thank you for considering this innovative addition. AI-powered image enhancements align with Dropbox’s commitment to convenience, innovation, and staying ahead of user needs.45Views1like1Comment
