The account shows 2GB (not TB). When I try to copy something, the account tells me not enough space... When I click on 'Upgrade' I see a message telling me I have PLUS. And still on 2GB... It's not this account, but [removed per Community Guidelines] Please fix this. Reaching you in another way is nearly impossible.16Views0likes4CommentsHow can I send or share a folder privately to another user?
I want to send my landlord a copy of my ID, a bank account statement, and some paystubs. This is sensitive information, so I would rather not email it, but after exploring the various options that dropbox offers, I think this is my only option. - "Dropbox Transfer" doesn't work because my landlord doesn't have dropbox. - "Dropbox DocSend" doesn't work for a number of reasons. - I want to send a folder with 3 files. - I don't want to pay a ton of extra money for this to work. I already pay for Dropbox Plus. My Question is: What kind of Dropbox plan/subscription would I need to make this work? I have Dropbox Plus, do I need to upgrade that? Is a "Dropbox DocSend" subscription something different? Overall I am disappointed at the moment in two things. 1) This seems like a really basic, simple thing to do, and moreover, it is something that will help prevent crime and identity theft. Why doesn't Dropbox support it? (or at least why do they reserve this feature only for larger business accounts) 2) The pricing structure / feature structure is obscured and is confusing. I think the end solution will be that I just email my landlord these documents. Hopefully they stay safe.Solved325Views0likes3Comments--> Did you know... you can search for images using just text?
Hello Dropbox Community! My name is Lainie and I'm a Product Manager at Dropbox. Every now and again, I am going to post a "--> Did you know..." to 1) keep you informed of all of the cool technology that exists at Dropbox and 2) gather your feedback on how the features are performing. In today's, "--> Did you know..." I'll be talking about Image Search! Image search is allows you to use the Search Bar to search for the contents of the image using words to describe the image. For example, if you search for "cat" your search results will show files that 1) contain the word "cat" in the file name or body, AND 2) files that contain images of cat. No mention of the word "cat" is necessary! Pretty cool! If you haven't yet, I recommend that you check it out. Please respond to this thread and let me know... A) Did you know this feature existed? Do you use it? B) How can we make this even more useful for you? Have a great day! I subscribed to the Dropbox Plus plan, and as seen in the screenshot below, I tried joining a folder worth more than 2 GB, but I couldn't, stating that I have passed the storage limit, even if I technically have 2TB. Did someone have the same problem before? How may I fix this? This is of urgent matter. Thank you all in advance.19Views0likes7CommentsUpdate billing info - Forcing me to upgrade plan..
I have tried to update my billing info, which appears to save, however it then directs me to the plan configuration page and wont let me continue unless I select an upgraded plan. Which I do not need. This is obviously a bug or pretty low tactic to force plan upgrades. There should be an option to retry payment method, or an option to have multiple payment methods. I do not wish to lose access to my account, but i'm also not going to be pushed into an upgrade I dont need. Any solutions for this?57Views0likes5CommentsMac Finder extension incompatible with Google Drive Finder helper Finder extension
I have the same issue that many other people have reported. On my MacBook Pro running MacOS 14.1.2, I have both Dropbox v189.4..8395 Personal Plus (I have never had a beta version) and Google Drive File Stream v85.0.26.0. My Dropbox sync/cloud icons are missing from my Dropbox folder. If I uncheckthe Google Drive Finder helper's Finder extension, then the Dropbox sync icons immediately re-appear. However, this reduces the functionality of my Google Drive installation. I need *both* of these cloud sync systems to work. Is there a fix for this problem yet? -Marc Levoy, Stanford University and Adobe Inc.1.9KViews0likes7CommentsHow can I redeem the 50% Discount for Dropbox Plus with Adobe Creative Cloud?
I have both an Adobe Creative Cloud and aDropbox Plus subscription. I recently saw that I could be saving 50% on my Dropbox Plus sub. It has only recently renewed but as my work situation has changed I need to cut some costs while I seek new work. I want to keep my subscription but want to take advantage of this offer I'm entitled to. Could someone let me know if they've been able to do this? When I click Redeem Offer it says I already have a Dropbox Plus plan. I've been paying for Adobe for 30 years and Dropbox for 15 years. Many thanks! https://creativecloud.adobe.com/cc/discover/article/creative-cloud-perks?promoid=T32PLP96&mv=other&locale=en-AU3.2KViews4likes43CommentsRandom Dropbox placeholder file on desktop
I'm trying to understand why a file called "Dropbox" just appeared on my iMac desktop. It looks like a text file, but can't be opened. Clicking on it results in the following message: "Item Dropbox is used my MacOS and can't be opened." When I "get info" on the file, it's 780 bytes. I have been rearranging some dropbox files on this computer, and just installed Dropbox on another computer. Perhaps it's related to that. Don't know if it's relevant or not, but all my files are offline as well as online It appears to be a placeholder but I've been using Dropbox for years, and haven't seen this before. Any ideas are much appreciated. Marty13Views0likes1Comment
