I became aware that my Dropbox app stopped synchronizing two days ago. After trying several things I did an advanced de-install. Then installing again with the 'offline installer'. The normal one didn't work, because it said there was no internet connection. The connection was all the time established and even with the firewall off, it didn't work. The app is now installed, but still tries to make a connection. I found a lot of posts with connection problems, but nothing helped to me. Please advice.77Views0likes7CommentsI can't sign in to my Dropbox Windows app.
It was available until yesterday lunchtime I don't know what's going on, it's out of sync and keeps saying it's starting up This happens not only on my laptop, but also on other synchronized devices. I don't have any security programs or firewalls, and I've tried reinstalling them, but they don't work. I can still access Dropbox through the internet site. What should I do?17Views0likes1CommentI can't use Shift + delete for my folders due to new "delete for everyone" pop-up message.
I am unable to shift+delete any folder inside my dropbox folder so I can skip the recycling bin. This seems to be connected to this new popup about asking if I'm sure I want to delete for everyone. Which is very strange, because this is NOT in a folder I've shared with anyone else. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or how I can report this to Dropbox directly?77Views0likes13CommentsWindows Server 2019: LTS App Still Shows Unsupported OS Message
I'm using Dropbox on Windows Server 2019, and recently it stopped working, saying, "Support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 has ended." They provided a link to download a "Long-Term Support" app, but after installing it, I’m still getting the same message, and it won’t launch. Has anyone else experienced this? It's frustrating, especially since I already installed the recommended LTS app. Any advice or workarounds?319Views4likes18CommentsI can't open/edit/upload files inside my desktop app
hey there, I've been having a lot of sync issues with the desktop app lately. I have had to restart the computer to the point of having to reinstall the app to get a good sync process on my computer. is there a good solution or this kind of issues?40Views0likes9CommentsI'm missing the "Sync history" tab from my desktop app
Clicking the dropbox icon in my taskbar used to bring up something that would show all files that had been synced, and when they were synced, no matter what kind of file it was or which computer uploaded the file. This is useful for--for example--verifying that a file I think I just copied over to be synced, was in fact copied over and synced. Now the part that did that was removed, and there's just "your activity", which does not provide the same information, and just seems to decide arbitrarily which files are "important enough" for it to show. How do I configure it so that "your activity" shows ALL files that were synced, in chronological order?1.1KViews1like8CommentsThe Dropbox desktop application will no longer be supported for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on October 22nd
Congratulations Dropbox! You've just put the nail in the coffin of all W7 users who prefer not to be spied on and constantly used for data scraping! Well done. If the constant scaremonger nagging about running out of space, the constant begging to upgrade, the incessant app updating demands, the constant USB device interrogation upon connection wasn't enough of an incentive to finally ditch Dropbox for good, then the cutting off of users of a still perfectly good and functional, non-spyware infested OS will be the last straw. Thank you Dropbox for giving me the incentive to go to your competitors instead and get out of your ever more bloated crapware ecosystem. Sometimes, people need a little push to get away from what's comfortable and familiar, even though they suspect just how bad that relationship is for them. I thank you Dropbox for giving me this little push. Goodbye.5.9KViews7likes19Comments
