Hello. My question concerns my recent issue with file sharing. Usually, my links were generated in this way: 'https://www.dropbox.com/s/'. However, lately, every file is being generated in this way: 'https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/'. Do you know a way to restore the old way of generating links? I just need old way of links, because game can't read new links

For images, you can use:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/scl/fi/blablabla/image.jpg?dl=0&rlkey=blablabla&raw=1

I used this site https://www.redirect-checker.org/index.php to check the problem with .zip file

With a .zip file from WP https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wpc-variations-radio-buttons.zip -> it's okay and returns 200 OK. But with the new link (/scl/) for .zip file on Dropbox, it returns 503 Service Unavailable

I’m gonna leave this thread as unsolved for a while it seems. Lots of things popping up

I tried this process but it didn't work for me unfortunately. Followed the steps but it just created the new link format again.

To provide context

I embed the dropbox files into click funnels for our programs. We use mp4. These is no longer playing with this new format as I used to just edit dl=0 to raw=1 but that no longer works.

Hi Dropbox Team,

I'm reposting it. When we generate the share URL using Dropbox SDK (objective-c) that share URL is still not accessible via dl.dropbox.com or dl.dropboxusercontent.com. Previously share URL generated using Dropbox SDK was accessible via dl.dropbox.com. However when we generate the URL for the same file from dropbox.com then it is accessible via dl.dropbox.com.

Thanks Matthew, this has worked for us. It seems simple enough... I just hope this is a permanent solution for us.

Previously I used to show the images uploaded to Dropbox on my website by just changing dl=0 to raw=1 and it used to work. Like https://www.dropbox.com/s/v2dy95zd8x42ltr/seller2_F621.jpeg?dl=0 This link should open a Dropbox page as there was dl=0 and by changing it to raw=1, https://www.dropbox.com/s/v2dy95zd8x42ltr/seller2_F621.jpeg?raw=1 This link should open direct image so using this URL, i could display that image on my web page. But now it is not working for new images. Like first of all, it generated share link like this: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fwrhf6r6uqggydb4dhqwl/seller1_ip122.jpeg?dl=0&rlkey=s0867maaaffmhxcp9... Which has few more parameters than the previous version. Here even by changing thoes parameters, it is not showing direct image. It just leads to Dropbox page. I fetched these links using API for Dropbox Developers. I used to store thoes fetched links and changing dl=0 to raw=1 so that I could directly access images to webpage.

If you know solution about it then please share!

Hi @pritesh12,

Did you try the following:

https://dl.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fwrhf6r6uqggydb4dhqwl/seller1_ip122.jpeg?dl=0&rlkey=s0867maaaffmhxcp9s...

Seems it works. Although, as always, links are not direct, but you know this. It's not an issue for browsers.

Good luck.
