Re: Finder search no longer working after update

Dropbox not searchable in MacOS Ventura 13.1

Since the recent Dropbox update, I can no longer search for files in Dropbox on my Mac.  I have been using Dropbox for over 10 years and have never had this problem before.  It's making life extremely difficult and making me think about moving entirely to Google Drive, although I don't really like Google that much.  But at least it's free, whereas I am now paying Dropbox for a less functional service than I had previously.

Does anyone know how to get this function back?

Also, when I do the same search with EasyFind everything works well!

So, there is something wrong with dropbox snd spotlight

Hi @gzamba, have you tried the steps suggested by my colleague on their post?

I thought I'd try one more time the re-indexing hack with the whole Macintosh HD and it WORKED!!!

Hope it will stay this way!

Thank you everybody

Just upgraded to a new MB Air M2 with 2TB SSD, and was having this same issue...this fix is clear ly described and works 100% (takes some time (ie multiple hours) to reindex dropbox and main Documents folders (over 1TB of files)
