Try installing an older stable version (Stable Build 178.4.4811 works for me).

Myself and a few others have started having issues with the latest version of Dropbox. You can see a few complaints about this on the latest stable build https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Dropbox-desktop-client-builds/Stable-Build-179-4-4917/td-p/701574.

The issue after this will be that Dropbox eventually will auto-update to the problematic version.

Hi there @1502646, sorry to hear about this.

Can you clarify your device's exact OS version for us please?

If you're running an antivirus or firewall or even a VPN/proxy on your computer, could you try disabling them temporarily and try again?

Let us know of any updates!

Windows 10.
I disabled my antivirus, but Dropbox still doesn't work (and the antivirus didn't interfere with it work before the crash).
I don't use vpn.
Dropbox was added to the built-in Windows Firewall a long time ago (long before it crashed)

for about a week now the dropbox app for windows hasn't worked, i noticed it didn't launch when i started windows, trying to launch it didn't work, so i tried reinstalling it, it worked for a few minutes and then it closed for alone, (Windows 10 pro, already closed firewall and antivirus)

Grazie per aver postato sul forum, @Massimotx!

Puoi farmi sapere qual è la versione attuale dell'app Dropbox?

Hai reinstallato l'app Dropbox dopo aver disabilitato l'antivirus/firewall e non c'erano ancora differenze?

Fammi sapere cosa trovi.

Thanks for posting on the forum, @Massimotx!

Can you let me know what’s the current app version of your Dropbox app?

Did you reinstall the Dropbox app after disabling your antivirus/firewall and there was still no difference?

Let me know what you find.

It runs 1 time after an extended reinstall and runs until the computer is turned off. It is worth turning off / on the computer and I again see a crash dump at startup Dropbox

Hey @1502646! Is it alright if we log a ticket for you then, and check this internally?

I have Windows 10 pro, and on my laptop with Windows 11 it still works correctly

------------

I tried to completely uninstall Dropbox, clean the PC and the registry, and then reinstall with the installer taken from the site on Monday (v1.3.761.1)
Dropbox started, I put my account it started synchronizing files and after a few minutes it closed by itself without error messages (All this with antivirus disabled)
On the PC with this problem I have Windows 10 pro updated to the latest version, on dropbox I have about 14GB used for 38749 files
while on the laptop with Windows 11 it still works
