Can not access my files after unlinking from a team account

I recently lost my personal files after unlinking from a business account. I have been a Dropbox user for over ten years and had close to a TB of files. Every time I try to log on now it’s treats me like a new user. What happened? I wish there was a way to call or chat with Dropbox.

Hi there, @mvalentine, sorry to hear about this.

Can you please clarify what you mean when you say that you "unlinked" from the team account?

Do you mean that you were a member and got removed? If so, when did this happen?

Any additional info on the situation would be really helpful.

Thanks.

I just did some additional research and I went to my settings and I look at my Dropbox invoices and receipts that were tied to my email. It appears I left Dropbox Pro account on 9/16/24 when I unlinked an unwanted Teams account. My fear now is that I inadvertently deleted my Dropbox Pro account in the process of unlinking Teams and not knowing what I was doing.  Then in an attempt to sign back on I was forced to create a Dropbox Basic account.  My fear is now that I may have deleted my Dropbox Pro account with my 1 TB of files that I have collected over the last 10 years. I can't believe those are no longer available to me. I want to do is go back to using my Pro account. I didn't even get an email notice of the account deletion.

Thanks for the update, @mvalentine.

By unlinking, do you mean that you had your Pro account paired with a Dropbox team account, so that you can access both accounts from the same device and you disconnected them?

Have you looked in your events page, to see if you can locate any deletion events in the account?
