Please allow pairing of more than two accounts. As a contractor, I am a member of a company's business account, a team member of another company, and have my personal account. It is frustrating to only be able to pair two of them, so that when I need to access the third, I have to completely sign out of the others and sign in fresh for the third.

In today's business environment, I am currently working (2) part-time jobs, and running my own business. It would be immensely helpful if you could run multiple business accounts on the desktop app instead of signing out/signing in/re-syncing every time I want to jump from company DropBox to company DropBox.

This idea makes total sense. Even 2 business accounts shouldn't be the limit in my opinion.
Perhaps at least 3 accounts should be possible? Of course it's already possible to combine one business and one personal account on the same system but why stop there?

I just posted a question in reference to this (on 2/20/22). Generally the explorer format would be something similar to:
C:\users\(me)\Biz 1 shared dropbox\... folders and files
C:\users\(m)\Biz 2 shared dropbox\... folders and files
I purchased a second business standard license prior to identifying that it cant be done. Hoping it changes soon.
I am assuming it would be to dropbox's benefit; i.e. two business standard licenses rather than one and a personal to try to make it work.
Just thinking out loud here.
Refernce to my post: 2 Business Accounts - Only one available on local folder structure; located in Dropbox community/help from the Community/Files & Folders/Dropbox files & folders.

I have various clients each with their own Dropbox Standard Business Account. However, my personal account can only be linked to one Business account. This makes it difficult for me to manage my other clients' Dropbox accounts when I want to upload files that need to be saved to each of their accounts. You've said in the past that allowing a personal account to manage multiple Dropbox business accounts could present security issues. However, I see that those comments go back to 2018. It's now 2022, and there must be some way that you can figure out how to allow for one personal account to be able to access and manage multiple business accounts without presenting a security problem. I can only have one client's account on my desktop for now. I for one really need to have my other clients' Dropbox accounts on my desktop as well. Instead, I use the incognito windows for each client so that I don't have to continuously logout of my current personal account. As technology gets more advanced, I encourage you to find a way that we can manage multiple clients' Dropbox accounts without having to continuously login and out of other accounts. Thank you.

Dropbox only allows for links between one Personal and one Business, but two Business Accounts.
That is an issue because:
I am an admin of my work account, and I need it to work.
My personal Dropbox need more than 3TB, but I cannot get it without an business account.
My wife and I want to pay for the Business Account together, for our personal use, so we both can have unlimited storage.
However, that is not possible, because since I already have an business account from work, I cannot link another Business Account to my computer.
I need to make local files from both my work and personal accounts, so using one of them on the browser only is not an option.
Please vote here to help me get the developer's attention!
Cheers

For the independent/freelance/contractors, we work across multiple companies at any given time. I currently have 3 clients each using Dropbox, but I desperately need to switch between the accounts on my computer (the app and web versions are painful and not clean and simple as working through Finder on a Mac).
PLEASE allow multiple business accounts!

I'm currently a member of one team for a company where I am COO, and my own company has a Dropbox account, where I'm forced to use the Family plan... where I've maxxed out users.
I would like the option to have more than one Business Account
OR
Add another user to a plan (ANY PLAN) beyond the limit shown with a per-user fee.
The only limit here is the billing, really. Why not make this happen? I switch between the two companies and Dropbox accounts multiple times each day and cannot log in and out of Dropbox all day long, nor will it synch folders I need access to with multiple business accounts as it currently works. This is so frustrating! Please fix. DEAR GOD just let me pay you more!

Hey MusetheFirst, thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you please clarify your request a bit?
Are you looking to be able to link more than one Business team account to your Dropbox desktop app?
Or to be able to access more than one Business account using the same login info?
Any additional info would be really helpful.
Thanks.

Happy to! In answer to "Are you looking to be able to link more than one Business team account to your Dropbox desktop app?" it's a resounding YES.
I have one team account with one login, and a personal account with another login. The two are linked in all places--PC app, laptop app, mobile app--so I can switch back and forth between the two accounts easily. But each has its own sign-in initially.
What I would like to have is a second Business account instead of using my personal account. The personal account is limited to a Family plan with 6 members and 2TB storage. I currently hired someone new, so I had to remove someone from our plan. It was either that or try and move everything to another service. Or fire someone. And we're growing. Neither are great options.
This also does not let me have a personal account. All my personal items are being added to the personal account...which means I have to monitor who has access in my business to them.
I really don't care if I need a third login for the third account, so long as I can switch between them all easily. OR if I could just add more users to the Family plan I can continue limping along doing what we're doing now, but let everyone in my company participate. No one likes to be kicked out of the accounts, no matter the reason.
I hope this helps! Thank you for taking an interest in the issue.

I'm having the same issue! As a contract graphic designer, I have a personal account and two separate team accounts with different businesses. It is really cumbersome trying to work when the desktop only allows one team login and one personal.

I'm a contract graphic designer and I can't stress the need for this enough. I have my personal account for my personal stuff (resume, portfolio, whatever), two of my contracts have invited me to be part of their Dropbox business accounts so that's 2 more, and I have my own business account where I keep the files of other, smaller clients. I should be able to join other business dropboxes and connect them to my overall identity so I can switch back and forth easily as needed. Dropbox is an amazing tool but so limited by frustrating things like this. Please, please think of those of us who freelance or contract for a living and allow this to be a useful platform. Thank you!!!

Please vote for this idea if you freelance or have a need for multiple accounts (more than two). More votes will help this gain traction 🙂

As an owner & manager of multiple businesses using Dropbox, I really need a way to access multiple Business accounts from a single computer with local syncing. I'm really hoping this feature gets added very soon! I imagine many independent business users as well as investors, advisors, etc would find it tremendously useful.

I've seen the response from DB a few times now that it causes privacy issues - but I'd expect it would work the same way it does when a folder is shared with a personal account? Maybe there could be a setting in the admin settings to enable this functionality, so if folks didn't want to offer it htey could keep it off, and the rest of us could turn it on? It seems like you should want to support those of us with more than one paid account 🙂 we're your heaviest users!
