My idea is about locked files and the problem that people forget to unlock it after they're done working in it. To avoid that people forget to unlock a file after they close it, it would be nice that you get a warning about the file still being locked when you close it. Hi, I have shared one of my dropbox folders with an external user outside my team. I would like him to be able to share that folder with other users. Is it possible to give this one user that permission? When he right clicks-> share on the folder, he gets a message saying he can only share with a link. HI, There is currently no way to set the naming convention when creating a file request through the API. Therefore the uploader name is added to the file automatically and we have no say about it. Would like to see a way to share ownership of a Transfer. We have a team that uses Transfer regularly to send files externally, but have no way for those team members to know what each person sent (they are not admins, nor should they be). No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. I use dropbox business for my work and found that when I try to access my dropbox folder or files syned in my pc hdd, it gets significantly slow within certain period of time. I synced dropbox file as offline so all my files saved in local hdd and when I access dropbox files through pc app, it is very slow to move and access among files and folders. Good morning, I have my company dropbox email but was not previously connected to our shared folders. Our Admin person sent a link to the shared folders. When I select it, it wants me to register. When I try to register is says the account (email) already exist. I also get a request to upgrade my account. This should not be the case as our company has and manages our Dropbox accounts. I am not going to pay for a license if it is supposed to be included in our company bundle. How do I get this resolved? Hello, I signed up and it appears that I have a business plan. I thought I was signing uip for a free account. I am now being asked for a CC or my account will expire. I host about 3 images here so that they can be used on email signatures.
