Thanks for using Dropbox! The desktop client is regularly updated with many improvements and fixes.
Features in this update:
- A 64-bit binary for Windows rollout has begun and will continue over several weeks.
- Users without any external drive backups will now see a “How to” footer in the Backup setting of the desktop app.
- Users on the Dropbox Backup plan with multiple active computer or external drive backups will now have a menu option to choose which backup to assign unlimited storage.
- Users will now be directed to Why can’t I create a shared folder? in the help center’s Shared Folder FAQs after clicking More Info when given a Total Mounts Exceeding Limit, Tree Size Exceeding Limit, or Home Mounts Exceeding Limit error while attempting to share a folder.
Fixes in this update:
- A faulty border in the checkout navigation bar has been removed.
- Some users will now see an extra carousel slide with messaging regarding restricted folder locations.
