Transcript missing whole sentences for recent audio files

Transcript missing whole sentences for recent audio files

I've been using dropbox for a few months with no issues. The transcription function always works great, but a few weeks ago, it just stopped working and now large pieces from my audio file are not included in the transcript. Is this happening to anyone else and can it be fixed?

Hi @dorothylaurenc, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

What format are these audio files when the transcription isn't working fully?

Is this for all new files you've added on the account recently?

This will help me to assist further!

This has been happening to me as well! For both MP3 and M4A format files. It worked perfectly in early July, but since picking back up recently the transcripts have dropped 30-60 seconds of audio at a time. I've even tried copying and reuploading audio files, and that has resulted in different chunks of audio not making it into the transcript.

Sorry to hear about that, @xfields.

Do you see the same behavior on other browsers as well?

I've tried it in both Firefox and Google Chrome and had similar issues.

Hmm, does turning the closed captions off and then turning them on again, help at all?

In the past couple of weeks the transcripts that I get from Dropbox for audio files are missing chunks of content. Any idea why this is happening all of the sudden? In the past, the transcripts were complete and quite accurate. This glitch is not dependent on the speaker.

Same thing is happening to my files as well in the past few weeks.

Sorry to hear that, @hreaton.

Have you tried any of the steps in this thread, to see if they help?
