Hi @Petamo
No, only the one you delete will be removed. There isnt a link to files elsewhere.

Thanks Mark…just double checking…that means that the second photo that is the same in another folder in Dropbox is safe???
I am struggling at present sorting my folders…so many…and so many double…even triples of the same photo…to coin a phrase, it is ‘doing my head in’!!!!!
Yes they are safe.
Dropbox has no link, at all, to files or folders in other locations.
If you want to test it just delete one and go check 🙂

Correct. If you have the same file in multiple folders in your Dropbox account, those are each a separate file. Deleting one will not delete the other.
Thank you….final question for at least tonight…I have been scanning old photos using the Epson FastFoto…they save to Dropbox but not just in the folder that I create, they also come up in Photos…is that normal?? This means when I open Photos, they are all there amongst other photos that I have taken!!

The Photos page shows you ALL of the images found anywhere in your account. It's not a separate folder. It's just a way to display all the images, photos and videos within your entire account.
Thank you…
Obviously, if I delete from’Photos’, it will then be deleted from all folders that contain that photo…
I realise that these are very basic questions but even tho I have been a Dropbox user for years, it is only now that I am reorganising folders etc and I’m making sure I don’t delete a photo/document that I didn’t want deleted!!
