sync not working

sync not working

I routinely have problems when I upload a work or powerpoint file on my home computer (Mac) at night, say 8 PM, and then when I come to my office the next day at say 8 AM, the file is not in dropbox on my office computer (Surface laptop).  But the dropbox icon says it has successfully synced and it is up to date.  So I login online and find the file in the online dropbox.com, but it is not available on my Surface,  Sometimes 3 days later it does show up.

What is causing this?

Hey @Frustrated2023, thanks for joining us on the Dropbox Community.

If the files you add to your home computer, sync with your account online, the syncing issue should lie with your Surface computer.

Which Dropbox version do you have installed on that computer?

You can hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray, to see this info.

And also, is it possible that the files created in your Mac, include any of these incompatible characters in their names?

Let me know what you find.
