Upload of a 7 MB file shall last 2 hours?
Dear all,
I'm using Dropbox since years (mostly for PDFs) and for several years had a very (!) slow upload rate (5-7 Mbps), but upload worked.
Since a few months now my upload rate is very good (today >28 Mbps), but during upload Dropbox seems freezing just after the start.
Actually, this was the reason to cancel Dropbox Plus three months ago - I can't wait a whole day to upload files for a printing office.
But I'm still wondering, why within the last months upload worked one time, but not in 5 later trials and a few before.
I tried it again today and Dropbox stated it needs 2 hours for an upload of a 7 MB file (PDF). For the same file WeTransfer needed 20 sec. (if at all).
Do you have any idea, if this problem will last longer or how I eventually can speed up upload?
Best
Birgit
Hi Birgit Roedder, thanks for clarifying!
Have you also tried a different browser, or clearing the cache on your current one? If so, do you notice the same behavior there?

Hi Birgit Roedder, welcome to our Community!
The first thing we need to identify is if you're using our desktop app, or website when uploading content, so feel free to let me know.
Do you simply try to upload content to your Dropbox account, or do you use our File Transfer option? I'm asking, because you mentioned WeTransfer.
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Hi Megan,
thanks for your quick response.
I use the Website and mostly drag&drop, but also tried the File transfer.
