The shared link I sent out truncates the names of files included. Can I adjust the name column?
I’m trying to share a collection of files with non Dropbox users by sending them a link. The files have long names. When the recipients click on the link they get a list of files with very shortened names, such that they cannot tell at a glance which file is which. On the other hand the column showing the size of the files is much wider than needed. Is there any way to give more space to the names of the files? Also, why is the file order seen by the recipients not the same as the order I see in my own Dropbox folder?

Hi DLR1951, thanks for posting here today.
Can you open an incognito window on your browser, access your shared link from there (without being logged into your Dropbox account) and send me an example screenshot of what you’re seeing?
Feel free to send me a screenshot of what you see on your account as well, when accessing these files normally.
I’d like to have a visual first and look into this further.
Let me know when you’re ready.

Hi Nancy,
I have clipped out screen shots that I hope will make the issues clear. Have saved in a Word file. Not sure how to send this file to you.

Don't save them in a Word file. Just attach the images to a reply here using the camera icon.

I do not see the camera icon when I try to reply.

There usually isn't a way to change the display of files in a shared link. The viewer can change the sort behavior, but column are a fixed width and cannot be adjusted.

Yes, you can change the sort behavior, but what you can't seem to do is make the order the same as it was to begin with. Very disappointing.
It appears my initial question has no satisfactory answer.
