Cannot log in due to limited device but only one device is listed

Recently, I had trouble log in from multiple devices. I know the basic plan has a limited of 3 devices but I have only one device listed that is log in. How can I fix this problem?

Hi @wong_deldrie, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

If you're getting this message, then your account is most likely still linked to more devices.

You can check the devices on your account and remove any that are not currently in use.

Keep me updated with any progress!

Awesome! I've managed to fix the issue. Weird that I don't see the list earlier (there was only one registered device).

Thank You for your help 😁

Same problem except I have 3 devices.  Suddenly my Dropbox android app blocked me with a message saying the device limit was 3 and I could either delete a device or buy more service.  My account from a laptop browser confirmed I have 3 devices - https://www.dropbox.com/account/security#devices   I uninstalled the app from android, removed the device from my account on the browser, reinstalled the app, and now I can use the app again (the message is gone).

I have no idea what's going on, but if it looks like a bug, smells like a bug and acts like a bug, then it really IS a bug.

I had the same problem accessing my phone app with 3 linked devices.   I had to remove the android phone from the device list (not the signed in list) on https://www.dropbox.com/account/security then reinstalled the app on the phone and suddenly the popup page (that blocked everything) was gone. Hope this saves someone else hours of wasted time.

Hi @Pat D.1, I'm glad to hear you were able to remove some devices from your account in order to sign into the Dropbox app.

If you require any further assistance in future, please let me know.
