Windows 10 - Tray Icon Red Box with a white 1 in it
My dropbox tray icon has a small red box with a white "1" in it.
What is that? Nothing in the settings indicates a problem.
- It means you have an unread Notification.
For example a new share or an update to a Paper Document.
Click on the icon and then on 'Notifications' to see what it is.

That's nice that you want to tell us to put our tray tables up and seat backs straight and other information that we didn't ask for, but you're taking the notification space from the main purpose of Dropbox - whether or not our files are synced. I shouldn't have to go click on Blah Blah Blah self-aggrandizing messages to clear it up - popups and annoynaces are what I expect of a free service, not a paid one. Send us an email if you want, but make sure the interface doesn't annoy our daily work.
