Apps and Installations

We have a Business Standard account with Dropbox. We're about to replace our 3 aging Macs, and add one MacBook Pro, so I want to make sure our installations are correct. Here's what we have currently:
1. Chris (me): DB on 2 iMacs and one MBPro, all with 640 gigs of files stored locally.
2. Joan: DB on one iMac, 640 gigs of files stored locally; Also accesses on an old PC from home, via Dropbox website
3. Tessa: DB currently on one PC, soon replaced with a new Mac; 640 gigs stored locally
4. Volunteer-1: New addition, new MBPro, to be installed on one User account, all 640 gigs. I'll also have a user account on that MBPro, and don't need DB on that User necessarily.
A few other users access from home OCCASIONALLY, via website.
Most of the 640 gigs are high rez images, plus the usual mix of other file formats.
Suggestions & Directions welcome. Thanks,
Chris (from a small non-profit museum)
Sorry to jump in here @CNPHS-Chris!
Two users means two separate installations, and Dropbox folders on each user profile.
I hope this clarifies!

Hey @CNPHS-Chris, thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community!
If you want to link your new computers to your Dropbox accounts, all you need to do is install the Dropbox desktop app on them and each of the users can sign in to their accounts.
The app will then sync the files to the new computers.
And if you need to disconnect the old computers, the users can just sign out of the Dropbox application, and they will be safely unlinked.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

If the MacBook Pro laptop has two "users", two separate log-ins, is one installation for one of the users available to the other user as well, or is it an either/or thing? Since we're talking 640 gigs out of a new 2-TB drive, I'd rather not have to install it twice (1280 gigs!). Just curious.

Thanks Megan,
As I suspected, it would be two installations. Because of the size (640g) I'll keep it to one since I have it on my other single user Macs.
