Hi...

I've got a new laptop & downloaded DBx to install - which it appears to do

But when I click on the icon nothing happens & there is no folder on my hard drive

 

Help !

Hey there, @RBSting, welcome to our Community!

 

What is the OS you're using on your end? Also, have you tried installing the app using this link? 

 

It might sound trivial, but have you tried re-starting your device at all?

Hey @RBSting, thanks for the speedy response! 

 

So, from what I understand it sounds like the app is installed at the moment, it's just the icon that's unresponsive, right?

 

Do you have any antivirus/firewall that could be blocking your access to the Dropbox app?

Hi

Well normally there is a folder on my HD right?

So yes it install the app I assume or at least a pretty little icon but nothing else

I'll have a look at the firewall

I've had this problem for over a year, I resorted to manual backups/uploads but it's very tedious. I'd like to sort it before my subscription becomes due again for obvious reasons!
