So my Dropbox lost connection to my folder location on an external HD. How do I get it to just re-connect without losing or re-downloading all my files. When I point it to the old location it just tells me a folder already exists in that location. Thanks for any responses. Running Windows 10.

Hi @Shonaker! Thanks for your post.

To relink your Dropbox app, did you click on the “Advanced settings” link perhaps, while signing in? If yes, then you’ll need to choose the parent folder of the already established Dropbox folder.

For example, if you have your Dropbox folder in the path "D:\OtherDrive\Folder\Dropbox", you'll want to select the folder "D:\OtherDrive\Folder".

If you need further help, let me know.
