My wife is locked out of her Dropbox account. Seems it might have been hacked.

My wife has a Dropbox account and it appears to have been hacked and no longer allows her to log in.   Yesterday there was an email blast that emailed everyone on her contact list and it was made to look like it was from Dropbox and contained a link to Dropbox files that I assume are viruses or malware.

When she tried to log in to Dropbox to see what was going on it suddenly started asking for 2F authentication, which it had never done before yesterday.

She needs help logging in asap.   I'm creating this post on her behalf because she can't log in to Dropbox in order to do it herself.

She needs to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support - probably while not logged in if she is a free user. So, make sure you are NOT logged in anywhere, even here. Using an incognito window helps.

Thanks for the quick reply Mark.   She has a paid plan and we've looked through that support site multiple times, but she can't log in in order to make a request.  Do you know specifically where to go on it?

www.dropbox.com/support BUT only if she is logged in to said paid plan.

If she isn't - as she is locked out - you MUST do it via an incognito window as if not the link wont appear.
