My account was hacked, and I found a file informing me about it.

Hi

Hoping someone can offer me some hope - my Dropbox account has been hacked - the first I knew about it was opening up my PC today and a pop up informed me all my files had been deleted.

I opened dropbox to find all but my vault had been deleted and an image and a text file informing me that my account had been hacked and to contact the email address on the image/text file to recover my files. I tried restore deleted files but there was nothing to show and then tried rewind but it showed nothing prior to 28th september (I definitely used dropbox yesterday so I know there was stuff) 

Is there any hope that Dropbox will be able to recover my files or am I being far too hopeful?
