Is this a scam?

Is an email from Dropbox (no-reply@em-s.dropbox.com) a scam?  It says:  "Please consider backing up your files"--through their link.  I've been using Dropbox for years and always assumed everything was automatically backed up.  Is it not?  And is this an authentic-looking scam?  Roger

Hi rogerleib, thanks for messaging the Community!

This is a genuine email from Dropbox, as it uses one of our official domains for communication.

The backup the email is referring to would be the Dropbox Backup feature, and not the normal syncing process.

If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
