I've gotten really used to seeing this notification every time I took a screenshot and it'd help me know if I saved a screenshot or not and i'm noticing it's gone and there's a new feature that I assume replaced this which is to show quick actions after screenshot, but I like the Screenshot Added notification more because it's just a notification, while the quick actions are a seperate window, and I don't want to switch windows back every time I take a screenshot, so I feel like if there was a way to choose in the Screenshots menu whether if you want there to be a notification informing you after saving a screenshot or if you want the quick actions. I would love for there to be an option to choose between those two.33Views0likes1CommentDescribe reason for admin signing in as a user
When an admin uses the "log in as user"/"sign in as user" feature in the web admin interface, a confirmation prompt appears warning the admin that all other admins will get notified by email. It would be nice if this confirmation prompt included a text entry box where the admin could describe the reason for signing in as a member, and if this reason was included in the email sent to other admins and in the audit logs. Use case: Our admins are regularly accessing the Dropbox account of a recently departed senior employee to look for certain files. Currently, the Dropbox admins manually send emails to the other admins to let them know the reason for the access.18Views0likes1CommentShow IP logins in easy accessable log
Since IP addresses are not shown in security allerts of new login I want an ease accessable "Your Logins", just as you have the "Your Activity", in the program/app and in web login. Notification just mentioning that there has been a web browser login without mention from where (what IP address) is pretty useless, so I need to see from where the access is to eliminate the suspicion of unauthorized logins somewhere, without searching in settings for open sessions. Thank you.9Views1like1CommentEnable users to subscribe/unsubscribe to comments for a whole folder
I am a retoucher and share dozens of images in folders with my team. They then comment on the files. The photographer is the owner, so gets notified of comments automatically. I am a team admin and at present, to be notified of comments, I have to subscribe to each individual file (it is a large team and not everyone names me in their comments). I simply don't have time to do this for hundreds of images in multiple folders. My suggestion is that users should be able to subscribe (and therefore unsubscribe) to comments for a whole folder - or at least multiple files at once. It would be a huge time saver!32Views0likes1CommentNotification icon for unseen new files
Taken from this post. (https://www.dropboxforum.com/idea/101002013/notifications-for-file-request-uploads-and-icon-on-unseen-new-files/826030) For some reason it's giving me an error if I try to put this as a link... My boss really needs a super friendly user experience since he isn't that tech savvy. I think it'd be very helpful if there was an option to show an icon on any unseen new files, and to have folders have a number icon showing how many of these unseen new files are inside. Kind of like unread emails/texts.41Views3likes1CommentNotifications for new file request uploads
My boss really needs a super friendly user experience since he isn't that tech savvy. He'd really like it if the mobile app icon showed the "little red number" for unseen new file uploads. I don't see any option for notifications on new uploads... [edited by moderator to remove the second suggestion] Also, the web interface for posting this has reset twice right before I could post it, wiping my entire post. I had to type it up somewhere else and paste it here. No idea why that was happening...68Views3likes4CommentsSender receives an email notification when and with who they share a folder with!
Whenever the owner shares a folder/ file in dropbox they should receive a delivery notification that the folder/ file has been shared with the receiver detailing the date/ time/ receiver details (name and account/ email), similar to the one a receiver gets from dropbox portal that a file/ folder has been shared by xxxx dropbox account. We all make mistakes or sometimes it could be some glitch in the devices, a folder is shared accidently and as you do not receive any notifications so such detail can easily be missed as the sender is oblivious of the activity/ mistake and it can go unnoticed. When the receiver accepts and joins the folder than its easy to check who has access but in cases where the receiver accepts and immediately removes themselves in that case its practically impossible to track if the shared folder was ever accessed by the receiver. This also can be deemed as a security concern, as the sender is completely oblivious of the shared folder status and there is no proof that the folder was actually shared with the receiver. The activity log and events page do reflect the sharing of the folder but do not provide details with who the folder/ file was shared. Hope this can be taken into consideration as can surely help track sharing of folders much better and secured. Thanks27Views0likes2CommentsShow a warning/alert if the limit on moving files on the website is exceeded
I had some issues trying to move several folders and files from one folder to another on Dropbox web, I was moving around 200+ folders with files and folders inside and it failed when moving them to another folder at the same time. I opened a ticket for it (#24692326) and also would like to Dropbox team to take a look at it, or if possible to show a warning/alert about the max. files/folders that can be moved at the same time on the web app. Thanks in advance20Views0likes2CommentsControl the notification emails Dropbox Replay sends everytime a comment is made.
Really get overwhelmed due to the way my team is working. We don't all need to see every comment. It would be so much better to have a global setting to turn email notifications on or off and also a drop down to send a particular notification to only the people who need to see it.1.4KViews10likes4CommentsTurn off transfer notifications & emails globally
We love Dropbox transfers, but we don’t need an email saying that we just created a transfer, 5 seconds after we created a transfer. Transfer download notifications and emails are also extremely annoying. Some of our transfers are downloaded by dozens of people. I don’t need 50 emails plus 50 desktop alerts. We know that we can turn off download notifications for individual transfers, but we should be able to set this as a default. Please add transfers to the notifications page in settings so we can control these settings globally.74Views0likes2Comments
