Is email.dropbox.com a legit domain?

In general, you can find all official Dropbox domains here.
Can you send me a screenshot of the notification you received though, while showing the email address you got it from? I’d like to double check this.

Web developer here, as long as the domain ends with dropbox.com, it is a domain owned by dropbox.
I assume you're getting an email from an address with given domain and in that case you have to be sure that the email is actually from that domain because scammers can make it look like it's sent from an email it's not actually sent from. Most email handlers have the ability to get more info about the sender, so find out how to do that using Google, or get back to me with which email client you're using, and I'll be happy to assist.
I don't know if I made it clear, but email.dropbox.com is valid and owned by Dropbox.
