I have tried every way possible to access my account or try to get in touch with somebody to be able to access my account since the email originally used is inaccessible and the 6 digit code they send can't be used. I have the correct email and password let me in my account so I can cancel this!!!

If you're being sent a verification code when signing in, then without access to the email address you won't be able to sign in to your account. Your best option to get into the account would be to contact the email provider and see if the email address can be reactivated.
I have the correct email and password let me in my account so I can cancel this!!!If you need to cancel the billing on the account and you can't sign in, you'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

Rich - That is not true, I have lost access with my account, lost all of my information because of the 6 digit code and have been unsuccessful in getting my account billing cancelled. Since its coming due, I'll probably have to just get a different card number in cancel the one on file. I've provided payment for over a years worth of service to an account I can no longer access. God forbid if you ever lose access to your email account.

when I try to use dropbox on a pc it asks me to enter a verification code in an email account that I don't have access to because it was created by a person who no longer works with us

Without access to the email address you won't be able to sign in to the account. Your best option is to contact the mail provider and see if the email account can be reactivated. If it was a company email address, your IT group should be able to easily reactivate the email account.

Where is the support on Dropbox. Cant support at all
- Megan2 years agoDropbox Staff
Hi Lean5S, welcome to our Community!
Could you give me some additional details, in regards to this? Can you clarify if the email address to which Dropbox should’ve sent the 6-digit code is accessible to you?
If yes, I’d like you to check your spam folder, and let me know if the email is located there.
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

I have 2 dropbox accounts – one is strictly personal and the other is used for not for profit work.
I have two main devices – a laptop and a large desktop computer that I access these accounts on. I have been having a lot of trouble with Dropbox not syncing properly (and I think there were some issues with Dropbox not working properly with Macs) and more recently not being able to access one or the other on either device which means I can only use the desktop app for one account and have to sign in on the browser to dropbox.com to download any files from the other account. I’m sure I used to be able to switch accounts. However, now I can’t even access one of the accounts via the browser on the desktop computer. Dropbox says it is sending me a 6 digit number and after multiple repeats of this, I still haven’t received any 6 digit. I have gone through various processes as outlined in other community threads such as checking spam, adding no-reply@dropbox.com etc. I am sending this on the laptop as I can’t use this dropbox account on the desktop or it’s browser. I thought it might be to do with devices linked but I couldn't find any options to do this and I am now locked out.
I feel like I'm going around and around in circles trying all the troubleshooting and getting nowhere fast.

Hi TeeSki, welcome to our Community!
If I understand this correctly, you still have access to the email address linked on both of your Dropbox accounts, right?
Provided that's the case, can I reach out via email, in order for us to have a closer look into this?
Let me know!

Hi @Megan,
Thanks for your quick response.
Yes, I do have access to the email addresses(2) to both of the accounts.
Cheers!

Hello, I have an old Dropbox account that is tied to an old school email that unfortunately is no longer active. That specific account has sentimental videos that I would like to obtain. However, upon entering the email address and password it is asking for a 6 digit verification code that I am not able to access. Please help!

Hi ejayamey, welcome to our Community!
The 6 digit security code is used when you access the Dropbox account from a different location for security purposes, so without access to the email, things might be a little tough.
Do you have any old, connected devices that would help you see the files in the account?
If I were you, I'd also try to contact the email service provider and see if they can reactivate the address -even temporarily- so you can receive the security code.
I hope this clarifies!
- ejayamey2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Unfortunately I don't have any old connected devices.
I have tried re-enrolling to see if that will somehow reactivate the old email address & I will be able to access it but I am not entirely sure that will work.
If the latter does not work, is there no way around being able to access it? I know the email address & password, I just didn't realize I never transferred my personal files from that dropbox.

hello,
i was trying to login to my dropbox account but it 's sending a 6-digit code on my email address to be able to continue logging in.
i no longer have access to the email address associated with my dropbox account becuase it got hacked just recently and my email service provider isn't helping at all.
if you could send me the 6-digit code to another email or a mobile number that would be a big help.
Thank you and Godbless

Hi daynolism, welcome to our Community!
The 6 digit security code is used when you access the Dropbox account from a different location for security purposes, so without access to the email linked to the Dropbox account, things might be a little tough.
We also can't send the code to a different email address, I'm afraid.
Do you have any old, connected devices that would help you see the files in the account and download them?
Keep me posted!
- daynolism2 years agoExplorer | Level 3Unfortunately i dont have other devices connected to my dropbox account. I have tried everything to recover my email but no help was given to me.

I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email.
After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer)
My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code.
I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do?
