Can't Access Account (Two Factor Authentication)

My company uses a dropbox account for a specific part of the business and I can't access the account. I have the username and PW, have been able to access it recently, but am unable to now since the person who created the account and set up two factor authentication is no longer with the company (left last fall). How can I access the account and change with two factor authentication?

Hey there, Shelby3, welcome to our Community!

Do you happen to have access to the ten backup codes, that come when enabling 2FA?

Each eight-digit code can be used once to access your Dropbox account in case of emergency.

If you no longer have your two-factor authentication device and you don't have the emergency backup codes or another active device already linked to your account (in order to access the account that way) then there's no way to gain access to the account, I'm afraid.

    Keep me posted!

You need to get the 2FA code information or the recovery codes.

Can you contact the person who left?
