Personal files have been moved under Company Dropbox - want to have them separate.
Hi,
I have had dropbox for long time privately. Have alot of data. Now I got request to join a company dropbox account. I could choose from 2 alternatives - to keep them separate or on the same login. I choose the same login, thought it sounded clever. But now it seems like all my private data is moved to be a sub folder under the company folder. Im still the only one to access my data, but I absolutely don’t want to have it like this.
Do anyone know how to undo my “mistake” so I will have 2 separate logins/accounts – 1. my private and 2. the company that I was invited to.
I have stopped the sync of Dropbox, it is +100 GB.
Very greatful for your help.
Kind regards,
Johan
Hi JohanSk, welcome to our Community!
As you've joined a Dropbox Business team, only the team admin can remove you from the team.
You'll need to ask them to convert your account to a personal account away from the team using these steps, in order for you to be able to still have access to your content.
If you have any questions about this, I'm here!
