New account appears when logging in from other devices

Dear Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek your assistance with a synchronisation issue I am experiencing with my Dropbox account and the files associated with it. Below are the details of the situation:

  1. On my desktop computer, I have a shortcut to Dropbox containing a main folder with 20 + folders. 
  2.  I am encountering a discrepancy when accessing my account from another Mac device. Despite previously having my files accessible on one Mac, logging into Dropbox on the other Mac shows an entirely new and different account, without any of my original files or account details.

Given these issues, I would appreciate your guidance on the following:

  • Steps to ensure that all my files and folders synchronise properly across all devices and appear in my online Dropbox account.
  • Clarification on why a new account appears when logging in from another Mac and assistance in resolving this to access my original account and files.

    Hey Caribbean, welcome to the Dropbox Community!

    It sounds like your original computer might be signed into a different account than the one you're signing into on your other devices.

    Click on the Dropbox icon on your desktop and go to the "account" tab in preferences, to see the email address of your linked account.

    Is it the same email address as the one you're using to sign in to your other devices?

    Let me know and we'll go from there.
