How can I ensure that I haven't started a trial?

I logged in to dropbox via Safari on my desktop (iMac) 28 days ago. I wanted to send 5 files to 1 person via email, and I wanted to do it securely. Somehow - I don't remember the steps involved - I was able to do this, and I remember there was an option to opt in to trialing a Dropbox feature which allowed me to track whether the recipient downloaded the files.

Last week, I received this email:

My understanding of that email is that I can continue using this feature if I upgrade to Dropbox Essentials, and if I don't upgrade, I can still track the download of the 5 files I sent the few weeks before. I have absolutely no use for this feature (I didn't even remember I had that feature from sending those 5 files to begin with, so I never accessed it/found no need to access that type of information). So, I did not upgrade.

Today I logged in to dropbox via Safari on the same desktop (iMac) and noticed this message when I clicked the "Send and Track" tab:

Now I'm concerned that I signed up for a trial that I have no idea how to cancel.... I'm so confused.

My questions:

1. Are the email and the screen shot referring to the same thing? I'm confused by the difference in terms used for the feature. In the email, the term is "trial of analytics" and in desktop view of my account, the term is "send and track"...

2. Do I need to do anything to ensure that I do not incur additional charges? As in, do I need to cancel something?

I have been searching for the answer online in my account and in the dropbox community all night and can't find any information at all. I want to keep my Plus subscription. I do not want analytics or send and track features, so I do not plan on upgrading to an Essentials account.

Hey there, helloitsme, let's see what we can find together about this!

    Long story short, yes.

Both of the screenshots refer to the same feature, that you can read more about it here

It also seems that you got a trial of said feature, and not an actual trial of Dropbox Essentials or a different plan.

However, if you wish to double-check you can access your account's plan page right here, and see what it says.

If the feature expires, you won't be able to use it to track these files, but that doesn't mean that you can't access their content.

If you have any questions, I'm here!
